JPJ to introduce kiosks for speedier renewals

MIRI: A 24-hour Road Transport Department (JPJ) facility enabling people to renew their road tax and driving licences at kiosks similar to automated teller machines will be available nationwide soon.

Another innovative service will comprise mobile JPJ units going to interior longhouses and border settlements to conduct motorcycle riding and driving tests and the renewal of licences and road tax.

“By the end of the year, the service will be available nationwide,” he said.

On the mobile units, he said the objective was to bring JPJ's services to rural folk.
