Three drown after car lands in ditch

KUANTAN: Three family members drowned after their car landed in a deep ditch filled with water while trying to avoid a motorcyclist in Pekan.

Supt Yahya said the motorcyclist, who was coming from Pekan, had fallen onto the road after hitting the tyre of a tractor he had tried to overtake earlier.

The bodies were sent to Pekan Hospital for post-mortem while the motorcyclist escaped with minor injuries.
