JPJ launches checks on reckless bus drivers

The ongoing nationwide traffic operation for the Chinese New Year is being focused on bus drivers to ensure that passengers get home safely.

Image via WikipediaHundreds of undercover Road Transport Department (JPJ) officers are getting on board to ensure that road regulations are being adhered to and to act against reckless drivers.

Safety checks are being conducted on 32 major bus terminals throughout the country. The Transport Ministry is targetting to reduce deaths by 10% over the festive period.
