Double-decker buses not banned

Image via WikipediaIPOH: The Government will only ban double-decker and high-decked buses from operating in hilly terrain if there is substantial evidence that the vehicles are not suitable for such routes.

“As of now, the buses can ply on any road in the country as long as they fulfil all the necessary standards and technical requirements set by the relevant authorities,” Transport Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha said.

He said there was also no plan to bring up any proposal to Parliament to ban the buses.
