Villagers set car on fire after fatal accident

FURIOUS over the death of their friend in a road accident, a group of villagers set a car on fire in Teluk Intan.

The Changkat Jong villagers are believed to have set the Nissan Fairlady on fire after an argument with the driver of the car, reported Sinar Harian.

Motorcyclist P. Muniandy, 24, died on the spot after his vehicle collided with the car in Jalan Changkat Jong at 10.15am on Sunday.

Hilir Perak police chief ACP Goh Kok Liang said the victim, who was headed towards Teluk Intan from Bidor, was trying to move to the right lane when the accident occurred.
