Teen killed while chasing after snatch thief

KANGAR: A teenager died in an accident while chasing a snatch thief at the 10km Jalan Kaki Bukit in Beseri last night.

Seventeen-year-old Nur Syaza Yasmin Ruslan died on the spot after she was hit by a car at about 8pm while chasing a man who tried to snatch her sister's necklace.

She said that her sister decided to chase the suspect to get the registration number of his motorcycle but lost control when passing a car coming from the opposite direction and they both fell on the road.
