JPJ proposal to ban TV monitors draws flak

PETALING JAYA: Several people are unhappy with the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) latest proposal to ban TV monitors in cars.

Image via WikipediaMany who vented their anger on Facebook called on the JPJ to concentrate more on road safety issues.

User Kamil Noah said the department should not be bothered by standard car accessories and gadgets, which came factory-fitted.

 

The comments came about after Penang JPJ director Datuk Hassan Yaacob said the department would propose that the Road Transport Act be amended to fine motorists who fixed TV screens and DVD players in their vehicles.
